Most wedding videos are shot at eye level. One couple in Wisconsin got theirs from about two feet off the ground, courtesy of a camera strapped to their dog’s back.
Emily and Josh fitted their sheepadoodle, Swayze, with a GoPro on a harness and sent him to work the room during cocktail hour. The footage shows guests lighting up as he wandered between them. Emily told The Dodo that the couple worried they would be too busy to greet everyone properly, so a dog who loves meeting people made the perfect stand-in greeter. The clip has picked up more than 236,000 likes online, as PetaPixel reported.

What this means for your dog: it is a charming idea, and it works best when the dog genuinely enjoys crowds. Strapping a camera to a nervous dog just adds weight and pressure to an already busy day. If you want your dog at a big event, build up to it. Practice in the harness on calm walks first, give them a quiet room to retreat to when the party gets loud, and watch for the classic stress signals, like lip licking, yawning, and a tucked tail. If you want to dress the part, a simple bow tie or a floral collar can be more comfortable than a full outfit for a dog who is not used to wearing one.
