In this tutorial video we go over the beginning stages of teaching the place command to your puppy.
We were just goofing off with the pups at 6 weeks with some lure work and then transitioned to shaping the place with the clicker, lastly we added in some negative reinforcement via the slip leash for more consistency and reliability in the future.
Reward often, try different places and challenge your dog on their understanding in various environments and with different stimuli.
