Every December, “All I Want for Christmas is You” by Mariah Carey takes over radio stations. It’s not just a holiday classic for humans, but a survey shows that dogs love it too! So, it makes sense that Carey’s furry friends would enjoy it.
Carey has several Jack Russell Terriers, and two of them became music stars in a recent video. Carey showed off an adorable new version of her holiday classic in an Instagram post, which shows her children and dogs singing along. It’s sure to make your heart melt no matter the time of year.
Holiday Classic Gets Better
In a short video clip, Mariah Carey enters the room in an elegant red dress. She’s surrounded by a massive Christmas tree and white lights. She bursts into song, beginning the first line of her hit. She sings, “All I want for Christmas is,” and then the camera turns to her 10-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, who are sitting beside two dogs.
Moroccan and Monroe shout “you” in a high-pitched voice. After a few moments, the two Jack Russell Terriers in red sweaters sing along with them. The little dogs tilt their heads back and howl in a way that sounds like they’re singing the right note. The video only shows one line of the song, but it leaves dog lovers wanting more.
Carey captioned the video with “All I Want For Christmas Is…” followed by two dog emojis.
All I Want for Christmas is Dogs
Carey has been enjoying the fame of her popular Christmas song since 1994, which still took the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 this holiday season. She has been working on some new Christmas content, but it’s unlikely to top her hit. In her new song, “Fall in Love with Christmas,” her kids make an appearance in the music video. But the dogs have yet to join an official performance, even though they clearly have great singing voices.
Carey shares Moroccan and Monroe with her ex-husband, Nick Cannon. Carey got to spend this Christmas with her kids, dogs, and other family members in Aspen, Colorado.
No matter how you feel about the song “All I Want for Christmas is You,” it’s much more heartwarming when dogs are singing it. There are many great aspects of the holidays, but all dog parents want for Christmas is to spend quality time with their furry friends, just like Carey did.
