ABOUT TODAYS VIDEO: Dog Gut Health Symptoms

The symptoms to look out for are, skin allergies, inflammatory bowel disease, thyroid issues, arthritis, behavior problems such as aggression and obsessive-compulsive disorders or self-biting, autoimmune disease and cancer from long term chronic inflammation.

Other dog gut health symptoms include food allergies, autoimmune issues, liver dysfunction, EPI or Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, diabetes, weight gain, low energy and a slow metabolism.
And the causes of leaky gut in dogs are, an underperforming diet, low in quality nutrition from processed, grain-based or grain-free starchy kibbles, veterinary and over the counter drugs and other pharmaceuticals including antibiotics, steroids, NSAIDs (or non-steroidal anti-inflammatories such as Rimadyl, Metacam, Deramaxx and Previcox, deworming drugs, flea and tick treatments and over-vaccination.

So what can you do to restore health to your dogs leaky gut?

The first thing you can do is to minimize vaccinations, none is best and certainly no more than every three years as per AVMA guidelines if you must. Stop using pharmaceutical drugs as much as possible and use the natural alternatives.

Start by adding a high quality probiotic to your dogs food at every meal to help build friendly bacteria in the gut and bring some relief to your dogs digestive system with less gas and much improved bowel movements, and I’ll leave a link to my favorite probiotic option in the description below this video and the link above.

Perhaps the most important of all is to improve your dogs diet. And for this I wrote the ebook Feed Your Dog Better to help kibble feeding dog owners resolve their dogs health from health issues such as leaky gut that show up from the long term feeding of kibble.

You can simply upgrade your dogs regular kibble diet, by adding in certain extras to the meals, to boost the nutritional content of the food to resolve many day to day health issues such as leaky gut, arthritis, allergy related skin and coat problems, digestive complaint, hot spots, diarrhea issues and yeast infections.

Again, I’ll leave a link to my ebook Feed Your Dog Better that covers everything you’ll need to really set your dog on the path to great health in the description at the link above.
