How to STOP Getting Ignored Outside!

Dog Training

Your dog isn’t ignoring you outside.

They’re responding to what’s most reinforcing in that moment.

Outdoors, the world is louder, richer, and biologically meaningful — smells, movement, other dogs, new information. If we only practice indoors, we’re not actually teaching our dogs how to succeed where it matters.

Attention isn’t automatic in distracting environments. It’s trained there.

In this video, I show you how to:
• Raise the value of responding to you
• Choose starting locations strategically
• Reinforce voluntary re-engagement
• Adjust when your dog won’t take treats

If your dog won’t take food outside, that’s data (not defiance!)

It usually means the environment is too overwhelming or the reinforcement isn’t strong enough yet. Create distance. Make it easier.

If you want a full step-by-step system for building reliable engagement and recall, my free 30-Day Perfect Pup program is linked on my channel and you can find it at Pupford.com/training

Train where you expect performance.
