DON’T BLAME THE DOG’S BREED – 60 SEC Dog Training Tips #7

Dog Training
A huge part of training a dog is mindset. You could be a great trainer but if you do not think a behaviour can be addressed because it is inherent of the dog’s nature you won’t try. This is why we should stop blaming the breed and take accountability for all behaviours whether it a husky that pulls. A sighthound that chases squirrels, a beagle with poor recall or anything else. If you believe these ideas it will become a self fulfilling philosophy.

Of course breeds have traits and you may find that certain breeds are more prone to certain behaviours however this doesn’t have to be the case. If you put the work in and train your dog you will get the result no matter what the breed of dog.

All dogs no matter the breed are capable of
not having issues around food,
understanding that you deal with all perceived dangers be that other dogs, the postman and more
that you decide when to interact and to respect your personal space
that you lead on the walk and to come back to you when called

*** PS: I NEED YOUR HELP ***

My goal is to better the lives of #onemilliondogs in my lifetime. It is clearly impossible for me to do this on a one to one basis. I have seen that with around every thousand views on my videos, I get a comment or email thanking me and letting me know the video has helped. So working on that basis, I have to make videos on how to address every problem
behaviour and accumulate ONE billion views in order to help 1,000,000 dogs.

You can help me reach #onemilliondogs by (1) subscribing to my channel and (2) give this video a thumbs up – so YouTube suggests this video to more dog owners and we can help 1,000,000 dogs all over the world. Thank you so much!
