Ingredients
- 4 strips bacon
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 ½ cups milled oatmeal, with a small amount extra.
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- If you haven’t already, cook the bacon until crispy, then break it into small pieces.
- Combine the first three ingredients into a mixing bowl.
- Add the eggs and mix until a sticky dough forms.
- Flour the countertop with a small amount of milled oatmeal.

Bringing together a variety of healthy, dog-friendly ingredients, these bacon dog treats are high in protein and pack a flavorful punch! Once your pup tastes these, they’ll be hooked!
Ingredients
- 1 cup dog-friendly creamy peanut butter
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- ¾ cup fat-free milk
- 1 large egg*
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ⅓ cup oats
- 3 strips bacon
*¼ cup applesauce can be substituted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
- Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Fry the bacon until crispy, and then chop it into small pieces.
- Mix the peanut butter, egg/applesauce, and fat-free milk.
- Add in the flour and baking powder, and mix until well combined. Then, add the oats and bacon.
- On a floured countertop, roll out the dough until it’s ¼ of an inch thick.
- Cut out the dog biscuits, and then place them onto the two baking sheets.
- Bake the biscuits for about 20 minutes, flip, and then bake for another 10.
- Remove the biscuits from the oven, allow them to cool, and serve! They’ll stay good for around a week!

As a matter of fact, the author of the original recipe blog states that she originally made them using prime rib meat! - 1 large egg
- ¼ cup chicken, beef, or vegetable stock (or plain water)
- 2 slices bacon
- 1 ¼ cup whole wheat flour, with extra for rolling
